(±)14(15)-EET is a metabolite of arachidonic acid that is formed via epoxidation of arachidonic acid by cytochrome P450. It prevents increases in leukotriene B (LTB;), ICAM-1, and chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 1 (CCL2) induced by oxidized LDL in primary rat pulmonary artery endothelial cells (RPAECs) when used at a concentration of 1 μM. (±)14(15)-EET induces dilation of preconstricted isolated canine coronary arterioles (EC = 0.2 pM). It reduces myocardial infarct size as a percentage of the area at risk in a canine model of ischemia-reperfusion injury induced by left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) occlusion when administered at a dose of 0.128 mg/kg prior to occlusion or reperfusion. (±)14,15-EET MaxSpec standard is a quantitative grade standard of (±)14,15-EET that has been prepared specifically for mass spectrometry and related applications where quantitative reproducibility is required. The solution has been prepared gravimetrically and is supplied in a deactivated glass ampule sealed under argon. The concentration was verified by comparison to an independently prepared calibration standard. This (±)14,15-EET MaxSpec standard is guaranteed to meet identity, purity, stability, and concentration specifications and is provided with a batch-specific certificate of analysis. Ongoing stability testing is performed to ensure the concentration remains accurate throughout the shelf life of the product. Note: The amount of solution added to the vial is in excess of the listed amount. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately measure volumes for preparation of calibration standards. Follow recommended storage and handling conditions to maintain product quality.
(±)14(15)-EET MaxSpec® Standard is the Cytochrome P450 metabolite of arachidonic acid. While CYP3A4 may be involved in breast cancer cell growth, (±)14(15)-EET MaxSpec® Standard may promote mitosis and anchorage-dependent cloning through STAT3 affected by CYP3A4.(±)14(15)-EET MaxSpec® Standard exhibits STAT3-dependent cell growth promotion and may also participate in the autocrine/paracrine pathway that drives cell growth.
